Most people are not aware of what a quality and active jazz scene the Champaign Urbana area has. Fed by the U of I music department, there are many excellent players who crowd the venues.

Also- if you like jazz, start frequenting the Iron Post in Urbana- this is the main venue for live jazz performance.
